Accessible Care Rooted in Human Dignity

At Rosula Doula, every mother deserves professional, compassionate care throughout her pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey - regardless of financial circumstances.

Not every family can afford full-price services, but that does not make you less deserving of care. This sliding scale reflects my belief in the dignity of every person and the right to nurturing, equitable support.

How to Determine What You Should Pay

This scale was created with respect for the diverse life situations women and families experience. It reflects a commitment to fairness, not judgment. You are trusted to reflect on your circumstances and request assistance even if the basic sliding scale suggestions do not meet your needs.

I urge you to request assistance if you:

- Are navigating financial instability or living paycheck to paycheck

- Face significant medical or caregiving expenses

- Support children, elders, or other dependents on limited income

- Have lack access to affordable insurance, savings, or community support

- Are in transition due to housing, immigration, or legal challenges

- Are impacted by systemic inequities related to health, education, or employment

- Are a pregnant teen in need of support

Asking for help is an act of strength. You are welcome to practice asking here, safely and without shame.

Income-Based Sliding Scale (2025)

For transparency and consistency, my sliding scale is aligned with the 2025 Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPL) and takes into account your household size.

To request a sliding scale adjustment, you'll be asked to submit:

- Your two most recent pay stubs or

- Your most recent tax return

All documents are reviewed privately within the SimplePractice Client Portal.

Income Level and Discount Offered

At 138% or below 138% of FPL: No cost (fully waived)

139% – 175% of FPL: 40% discount

176% – 225% of FPL: 30% discount

226% – 275% of FPL: 20% discount

276% – 325% of FPL: 10% discount

Above 325% of FPL: Full rate applies

Notes & Next Steps

- If you’re approved for Medicaid, you automatically qualify for no-cost care.

- If you’re not yet approved but are experiencing financial hardship, please reach out. We’ll find a way forward.

- Once you’ve created a client account, all sliding scale requests and documents will be submitted through my SimplePractice portal.
